Paul has been modeling Taj for a while. He put together a basic video showing Helton’s first walk-through, playing with some free software in his spare time. Thanks much.
Odd. For some reason when I download it to watch, it shows blank until I hit “replay,” then it plays just fine. Let me know how it works for you.
The video fired right up on my droid, which runs Mobo player. It came in upside-down, but somehow did not trigger auto-invert when I flipped the tablet upside-down to compensate. It came in rightside-up on a Windoze 7 box.
It worked just fine for me without hitting “Replay”.
I tried to play the video but got a message that Quicktime needed software to play the walkthrough. I clicked on the continue button and was taken to a page with lots of different software. I don’t know which I need.
I am using an Intel MacBook running OS 10.6.8 ( yes I need to update ).
What software do I need?
Thanks
It’s an AVI file (Audio Video Interleave) aimed at something like Windows Media player. I’ll see if I can convert it to MP4 that plays nice on more systems, and post that too. In the meantime, thanks for letting me know what you are using, so I have something to aim at.
I use MPlayer on my Mac for this sort of file. I’ll see if I can generate a MOV file as an alternative format.
Using Win Media Player on XP, it says it can’t play this.
Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or a required codec might not be installed on your computer.
Might be to old a version of Media Player, or a slightly off-standard AVI file. I’ll see if I can get a different format. Thanks for the interest, and letting me know what you are using (trying to use, anyway).
It played fine on my Dell/windows 7 workstation. Show me more… 🙂
