Polyhedron is a Greek word, made of of “poly,” meaning many, and “hedra,” meaning face, or base. It’s the Greek word for “politician.”
That recalls a quote from Tommy Smothers:
“The word Politics is derived from the Latin poly, meaning many, and tics meaning blood sucking parasites.”
(Ok, so “Greek” would be correct, but the message is what counts.)
